Liberal Arts and Sciences Alumni Association
The University of Illinois has a long history of alumni relations through the University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA). As part of that larger group, the UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences alumni formally established in 1986 a group known as the Liberal Arts and Sciences Alumni Association (LASAA). The purpose was to strengthen the relationship between the University and UIC LAS Alumni.
The purpose of LASAA is to:
- Help maintain and enhance the lifelong relationships with LASAA alumni
- Ensure and improve communication and connection with LASAA alumni
- Solicit and recruit alumni candidates for award recognition
- Recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of LASAA alumni and friends
- Promote UIAA membership, continual learning and the importance of education
- Provide services to the community
- Assist UIC and LAS in accomplishing specific goals
- Create networking opportunities

The Liberal Arts & Sciences Alumni Association strives to build and maintain lifelong relationships with LAS alumni and students and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
We connect with alumni, students, faculty and staff of all departments within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at UIC.
