Thursday, September 20 (fourth week of term)
Every unit must do the following TWO things, even if no cases are pending.
-
Notify the College of promotion and tenure cases and mid-probationary reviews in your unit. Use “Expected Promotion
and Tenure Reviews 2007-08” forms included in P&T Forms packets, Part IV.
Note: For faculty with joint appointments, the “home department” (with highest percentage) is responsible for coordinating the P&T process. In the case of 50/50 appointments the Executive Officers should decide which department will oversee the process. - Submit at the same time as the above either (a) a statement that departmental procedures for promotion and tenure and for mid-probationary reviews in your unit are unchanged from last year or (b) a copy of your revised procedures for promotion and tenure and for mid-probationary reviews. Please highlight any changes implemented since last year. If a special committee oversees the process, please indicate how it is selected, and provide the names of this year’s members.
