Part-time position in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Director supervises and leads a small staff of academic professionals responsible for providing support services for LAS faculty engaged in social science research. With the advice of the heads and chairs of the social science departments, the director sets policy for the Office's seed grant programs and its other activities including funding searches, proposal preparation and submission, and post-award administration. In addition, the director coordinates long term planning for the office in consultation with other interested parties. The director represents the unit to relevant administrative offices in the university including, among others, the Dean of LAS and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Research.
This is a continuous, part-time, nine month position.
Minimum Education and Work Experience:
Candidates should be tenured faculty members currently appointed in an LAS department who are engaged in social science research and who have significant direct experience with externally funded research. PhD in a field of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
