Smoking:A Cultural History

Sander L. Gilman, together with Zhou Xun,

School of Oriental and African Studies, London,

are co-editors of this history of the

representations of smoking, whether it

be legal or illicit. While the book

will form the core of the project,

contracts are currently being negotiated

for an exhibition at a major cultural institute

in Chicago as well as for a T.V. series.
