Robert Gordon
I have been a faculty member in the Chemistry Department at UIC
since 1974, and have been at my present rank of Professor since
1980 and a University Scholar from 1992 to 1995. My field of research
is in the area of physical chemistry and molecular physics, with a
special interest in controlling the behavior of molecules with light.
I have published over 100 scholarly papers and wrote or edited
three monographs. I have served as an advisor to the Jewish Studies
Program at UIC, having been a member of its Advisory Committee
(1994-2000), Chair of the Advisory Committee (1998-2000), and Chair
of the Search Committee for a Jewish Studies Director (1999-2000).
I have also been involved with Hillel at UIC, and served as Chair
of the Hillel Faculty Board (1993-1995).
