Law-related classes taught: In graduate level courses John D’Emilio often assigns the opinions and dissents on Supreme Court decisions since the 1950s on issues of sexuality.

Law-related scholarly interests: Lecture on the campaign for same-sex marriage, the difficulties that a litigation strategy poses, and has written for an anthology on same-sex marriage a piece of titled “Will the Courts Set Us Free?” It can be found in Craig Rimmerman and Craig Wilcox, eds., The Politics of Same-Sex Marriage  (University of Chicago Press, 2007).
