Law-related classes taught:  Occasionally teaches courses on topics in American political development.

Law-related scholarly interests: Has a longstanding interest in the history of American law, including the first amendment, search and seizure, public utility law, and telecommunications law.

Law-related publications: He has published an essay in a legal history journal;  his scholarship is regularly cited by legal scholars.

He has given papers at the annual meetings of the American Society of Legal and Constitutional History.

He has also given papers at the American Bar Foundation (ABF) research center in Chicago, and was an ABF fellow in the fall of 2006.
