Admissions Tests

 

Entrance exams are usually required as part of the professional school application. Students should only take exams after basic science coursework, relevant to the exam content, has been completed and considerable time is taken to study. Students should be aware of the test content for the exam they wish to take.

Below you will find information regarding the tests required for many professional schools. Students should consult the individual programs to verify if any additional tests are required for admission. All exams are offered in a computer-based format. In some cases it is possible to take computerized practice exams as well.

Dentistry - required exam Dental Admission Test (DAT)

Medicine - required exam Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)

Occupational Therapy - required exam Graduate Record Exam (GRE)

Optometry - required exam Optometry Admissions Test (OAT)

Pharmacy - required exam Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT)

Physical Therapy - required exam Graduate Record Exam (GRE)

Physician’s Assistant - required exam depends upon program, normally Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and sometimes Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)

Podiatry - required exam for most programs is the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)

Veterinary Medicine - required exam depends upon program, normally Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and sometimes Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)
