Prospective Students

The college invites well-prepared applicants planning to enter LAS as freshmen from high school or as transfer students from other accredited colleges and universities. Freshmen are admitted for the fall semester only. New students are not admitted for the summer term. They may, however, enroll in the Summer Session Only program. Potential applicants are encouraged to visit the campus and attend one of the prospective-student Preview Days. Applications may be filed on-line at Office of Admissions and Records. Students entering LAS with the intention of transferring to another UIC college should take note that while enrolled in LAS, the LAS requirements will apply.

New freshmen, transfer, and continuing students who meet the academic requirements may apply to the Honors College , in addition to LAS. If accepted, the Honors College students become part of a small group of students who have an opportunity to study in an enriched and challenging environment with access to special resources and faculty mentoring.
