Applicants to the Freshmen Class

The college offers a wide-ranging choice in degree programs and preprofessional studies (NOTE: we’re pitching the long narratives currently available on our site and linking directly to pages in undergraduate catalog). Selecting one particular major field of study offers no particular advantage in the admission decision process. Admission to the college is based on high school academic performance as represented by class rank, course selections, grade point average, transcript review, personal statement, and by ACT or SAT scores. These performance indicators together enable the college to predict the greatest likelihood of success in college. A restricted number of applicants who meet fewer than the standard requirements may be invited to provide additional information for further admission consideration. Ordinarily, students scoring particularly low on the ACT or in the lower third of their high school class are not eligible for admission. The most recent freshmen class had an average high school rank in the top 25% of the graduating class and an average ACT score range of 23-26.

Freshmen applicants who meet rigorous academic requirements may apply to the Guaranteed Professional Admissions Program. The GPPA allows a student to secure a future place in one of the participating professional and graduate programs, including dentistry, medicine, occupational therapy, pharmacy, and physical therapy.
