2012-13 LAS SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
Each year, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences awards nearly 20 scholarships to UIC students in good academic standing. Awards range from $400 to $10,000. Although many of the awards are need-based or restricted to LAS students, there are several awards open to applicants regardless of financial aid status or college affiliation.
Students applying for any of the scholarships offered by LAS must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be eligible:
- currently enrolled in the UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, unless otherwise stipulated;
- in good standing (minimum 2.0/4.0 GPA), unless otherwise stipulated;
- have completed a minimum of 30 semester hours at UIC, unless otherwise stipulated;
- enrolled at UIC for fall semester 2011. Students graduating prior to fall 2011 are not eligible.
Some scholarships have additional specific requirements. It is possible to be eligible for and to win more than one scholarship.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The application period will be open from January 23 - February 17, 2012. The complete application is due no later than 5 pm, Friday, February 17, 2012, using the online application process.
