Master Plan Implementation Committee

 

On March 15, 2012, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost asked members of the UIC community to provide direction and guidance to consultants and university staff who will be engaged in developing immediate impact projects recommended in the 2010 UIC Campus Master Plan, and to provide advice to the Chancellor and Provost regarding approval of the projects and their final work products.   • Chicago Circle Memorial Grove


    A committee of UIC employees will work with landscape architects to begin implementing projects identified in the 2010 Campus Master Plan. The first project will improve the area near Taylor and Morgan streets, replacing the deteriorating asphalt walking path, tired landscaping and old benches with new outdoor seating, signs and other amenities. The goal is to make that space more attractive, usable, and pleasant.

  • Immediate Impact Projects


    Projects that require smaller amounts of funding to have a big impact on improving the physical qualities of the campus have been termed "Immediate Impact Projects".

    A committee of UIC employees will work each year to prioritize and implement potential projects identified in the 2010 Campus Master Plan that can make the campus safer, more comfortable, and more attactive. Learn more about these immediate impact projects or view a summary listing of a variety of these potential projects and the goals they may address if implemented.
