  • UIC Multimodal Transportation Plan

UIC was the recipient of a technical assistance grant from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) through its Local Technical Assistance (LTA) program. This grant enabled development of the UIC Multimodal Transportation Plan, which builds on the 2010 Campus Master Plan and focuses on facilitating safe and accessible travel throughout the campus and adjacent Chicago communities. The UIC Multimodal Transportation Plan establishes the framework for Crossroads and Connections, an implementation strategy and UIC's application for the United States Department of Transportation's (DOT) Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) competitive grant program.

  • Immediate Impact Projects

Projects that require smaller amounts of funding to have a big impact on improving the physical qualities of the campus have been termed "Immediate Impact Projects".

A committee of UIC employees will work each year to prioritize and implement potential projects identified in the 2010 Campus Master Plan that can make the campus safer, more comfortable, and more attactive. Learn more about these immediate impact projects or view a summary listing of a variety of these potential projects and the goals they may address if implemented.
