Outreach Process
The UIC Campus Master Plan engagement process had a stated goal to "conduct an open and participatory planning process that both informs and is informed by interested campus constituencies."
In striving to reach this goal, the master planning team hosted seven town hall meetings, including a dedicated community forum with invitations sent to 162 organizations outside of UIC. Additionally, the team repeatedly met with many campus organizations, interviewed 20 campus leaders, hosted two student-led open houses, received 677 student survey responses, and experienced over 27,000 website page views.
The graphic below is a representation of some of the discussions that were held. The larger words often figured more prominently in the discussions. Although not an all-inclusive representation, it provides a "feel" for some of the lively discussions that the campus community engaged in.
