The Life of the Sleepy Person: Update on Disorders of Sleep

This one-day conference was the seventh in a triennial series intended for patients with sleep disorders, their families and their primary and specialty care providers. The Conference was hosted by the Center for Narcolepsy, Sleep and Health Research and was held on the UIC campus on May 2, 2008.

Conference Objectives:
* Discussed clinical advances in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of excessive sleepiness.
* Described recent research on sleep disturbances in chronic illness.
* Identified recent advances in diagnosis and treatment of sleep disordered breathing.
* Described the impact of sleep disorders on the lives of people with these disorders.
