Accreditation

The University of Illinois at Chicago is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).

The College of Nursing Master's and Baccalaureate programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) through December 31, 2009. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is scheduled for an initial accreditation visit by CCNE in 2009. For more information on the accreditation process click here.

The College Baccalaureate and Graduate Entry programs are also approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).  The Nurse-Midwifery program is accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACNM) through December 31, 2011 and the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program is accredited by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) through October 31, 2009.

The College holds membership in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).
