Message from the Dean
Welcome to the UIC College of Nursing!
As the new Dean, I join a proud UIC Nursing community, including faculty, staff associates, students, alumni, community partners, and donors, who are committed to advancing nursing leadership.
Our College is consistently ranked in the top 10 in funding from the National Institutes of Health, and students learn from award-winner professors and clinicians who are generating the research that directly improves the lives of patients and our local and global communities.
Each year, more than 1,200 nursing students have access to excellence through our baccalaureate (BSN), master of science (MSN), graduate entry program (GEP), doctor of nursing practice (DNP), doctor of philosophy (PhD), and certificate programs—in Chicago and through our regional programs in Peoria, Quad Cities, Rockford, and Urbana.
The College is a global leader in improving the quality of nursing and healthcare, as evidenced by recent recognition by the World Health Organization for our innovative programs.
Explore our website and discover all that the College of Nursing offers to advance our mission in education, research, and practice. Even better, please contact us with any questions you may have or to schedule a visit.
Best wishes,

Terri E. Weaver, PhD, RN, FAAN
