Job Search Resources The University of Illinois Alumni Association Career Center is a great resource for alumni. Their for-fee services include access to job postings, a resume referral program, networking contacts, workshops and career advising. They give UI graduates the competitive edge in employment opportunities and career transition assistance. UIC Office of Career Services provides a variety of free services for current and past students including individual counseling, drop-in advising, video-taped mock interviews, on-campus interviewing, career preparation seminars, and resume referral. Illinois Nurses Association provides listings of Nursing job opportunities throughout the state of Illinois. After College is an online professional platform that connects college students, Nursing Spectrum is a leading source of local and national nursing news, continuing education, and career opportunities for nurses. CareerBuilder.com--Healthcare jobs provides job listings that you can search by keyword, city, state, and/or job type. Register to receive notices by email. 4 Nursing Jobs.Com is a job database that is searchable by job title or somewhat by specialty as well as by state location. Additional links include resume and interviewing techniques and a place to post your resume. The NationJob Network contains job listings and company profiles from around the U.S., with a Midwest focus. Their Medical/Health Care Jobs Page lets you search for a job by employer, location, position type, salary, key-word, and more. NursingCenter.com contains information on more than 180 different hospitals and agencies that are actively recruiting registered nurses. These are separated by geographic location in order to facilitate a job search. The Guide includes descriptions of facilities, professional climate, benefits and special features. NurseJobz.com is a jobs database searchable by specialty and state, or by company. NurseZone.com offers a variety of links ranging in topics from job issues to life issues. Job search is by specialty and state. Career links include resume help, traveling nurse opportunities and continuing education. Student nurses also have a special link for new grad jobs and resources.
