- Maintain a multiethnic advisory committee of experts from the community
- Develop partnerships with selected ethnic communities to promote community health-related capacity-building and culturally competent research
- Hold research roundtables for center investigators/affiliates and community participants
- Provide consultation regarding
- Cultural competence in studies with a focus on low-income African American subjects
- Methods for working within communities for mutual benefit
- Recruitment and retention of multiethnic research participants
- Maintain a library of resources addressing cultural competence in research

- Maintain a repository of data sets that represent subjects diverse in ethnicity (in conjunction with the Biobehavioral Methods Core)
