Instrument Bank: How to Use

Alphabetical Listing of Instruments

  1. Find instrument title in listing (if necessary, the search directions are below)
  2. Look at columns next to the instrument. They list variable and subcategory for each instrument. These are related to the CRRVP framework.
  3. Note the variable and subcategory, and click on the variable title (1-8). You'll be linked to a PDF file in a new window.
  4. Search through the PDF file until you reach the subcategory (listed alphabetically) and instrument you are searching for.

Searching within Instrument Bank Table

  1. Open PDF by clicking link "PDF download" after each variable title (1-8)
  2. Scan for the topic using the scroll bar on the right (Variable & Subcategory are alphabetized) OR
  3. Search for key words in the document, by doing the following:
    • PC USERS: Hold down Ctrl + F button at same time. Type in the word you're looking for. Select Return button or use "next" button to scan document for key words.
    • MAC USERS: Same as above, except hold down Apple button + F.
    • ALL PLATFORMS: You can also go to top menu: Edit > Find.
