Teaching / Learning
Sue Fahrenwald has been teaching at UIC since 1996 in the area of pediatrics with the undergraduate students. The clinical component is taught at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago.  Other courses: Concepts and Processes of Nursing and Health Assessment.  This year began teaching Online courses for RN-BSN degree at UIC.

Service / Practice
Member of Sigma Theta Tau. Member of the Board of Directors for the UIC College of Nursing Alumni Association. Current practice in a diagnostic clinic for children with developmental delay, with Dr. Ann Cutler, neurodevelopmental pediatrician at UIC Family Clinic. Discipline coordinator for the LEND (Leadership in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) program. Quality improvement Coordinator for Home Health company in Chicago.

Personal
She has also taught First Aid/Childcare classes to pre-teens in her community as a certified instructor of the American Safety Health Institute.
