Research / Discovery
Dr. Collins’s area of research focuses on the use of physical activity to improve quality of life in people with chronic illness. Her research interests include pulmonary and vascular rehabilitation, physical activity, and functional capacity measurement. She has been the principal investigator on a number of federally funded grants.
Teaching / Learning
Dr. Collins teaches a grant writing course in the doctoral program and has taught pathophysiology to undergraduate students. In addition, she works with students and faculty members in the development of their research.
