Research / Discovery
Dr. Berry currently is participating in ongoing research related to chronic obstructive lung disease patients. Her specific interests include measurement techniques for determination of body composition; effects of aging on lung disease; management of weight loss in patients with chronic obstructive lung disease; and medical weight loss management.

Teaching / Learning
Dr. Berry lectures regularly to graduate students on topics including physical assessment, nutrition, aging, and obesity. She currently directs the cardiometabolic APN training grant.

Service / Practice
Dr. Berry serves on the APN subcommittee of the Curriculum Commmittee and on the APT committee in the College of Nursing. She also is active in the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau and chair of the Leadership Succession Committee. Dr. Berry is currently practicing as a certified adult nurse practitioner at the Community Health Clinic, a free clinic on the north side of the city.

Personal
Dr. Berry enjoys listening to classical music, watching great movies, and spending time with her grandchildren. Little known fact: tennis is her favorite sport.
