Research / Discovery
Dr. Jones is interested in the study of a social media as a cost effective, user friendly and easily accessible method for addressing adolescent health issues. Her research has focused on the preventon of sexually transmitted infections among adolescents and young adults.

Teaching / Learning
Dr. Jones instructs undergraduate students enrolled in the NURS 385 Population Focused Nursing in Urbana. She is also clinical faculty for the graduate students enrolled in NUSP 518- a Population Focused component of the FNP program.

Service / Practice
Dr. Jones serves on many boards and councils throughout Champaign County including the Urbana School Health Center Advisory board and the UIUC Special Populations Advisory board. She is an Honors College Fellow, Leadership Mentor for the Illinois Leadership Center and serves as the Faculty Advisor for the Student Nurses Association in Urbana. She is an active member of the Midwest Nursing Research Society, Sigma Theta Tau International, Illinois Public Health Association and the Association of Community Health Nurse Educators.

Personal
Dr. Jones is the proud mother of 8 and grandmother of 1. She enjoys cooking, camping, travel and reading mystery novels.
