Research / Discovery
Currently participating in a multi-institution AFPNP Commonwealth Fund Grant whose purpose is to improve health care quality for children through the strengthening of mental/behavioral health content in the curriculums of pediatric nurse practitioner programs.

Teaching / Learning
Ms. Mead's teaching expertise is primary focused in PNP management courses. She teaches concepts in newborn management in both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Service / Practice
Currently, Ms. Mead is a member of the College's Masters' Curriculum Subcommittee. She is also a member of the Department of Maternal Child Nursing Advisory Committee. She is a past chair and current member of the Illinois Chapter of the March of Dimes Perinatal Nursing Advisory Committee. She also volunteers extensively in Evanston as a board member of ESCCA (Evanston School Children's Clothing Association).

Personal
Ms. Mead and her husband have three children who are young adults. One is in graduate school and one, an undergraduate student. The family enjoys reading, many sports, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
