Research / Discovery
Currently in fourth year of Project Coordinator of the Nurse Retention Grant, a five-year, federally-funded grant from Health Resources and Services Administration. The project is a partnership between the UIC CON and hospitals within an Illinois Health System to facilitate and support career & leadership development, along with engaging nurses in activities to improve the work environment.

Teaching / Learning
First year of teaching, courses include NUAS/NUPH 517 Budget & Finance Course for Nurse Adminstrators and NUSC 390 Undergraduate leadership course. Both will be offered online.

Service / Practice
Have been working as a staff nurse since 2000 at University of Chicago Hospitals on Transplant/Vascular Unit. Worked Agency/Registry at several hospitals within the Chicagoland area on multiple Med-Surg units.

Personal
Graduate of both undergrad and graduate programs here at UIC CON. Live in Chicago and trying various ideas to start own business. Love to go to different restaurants in Chicago and attend outdoor events in the summer. Have an extreme need and calling to travel worldwide.
