Research / Discovery
Dr. Hill has conducted studies to examine the phenomenon of insufficient milk supply in mothers of term, low birth weight, and very low birth weight infants. In addition, Dr. Hill's work has focused on the effects of stress, lactation hormones, and milk availability in pump-dependent mothers of preterm infants.
Teaching / Learning
Dr. Hill has taught a variety of courses in the RN/BSN completion program. At the graduate level, Dr. Hill teaches intermediate statistics, research, and issues.
Service / Practice
Dr Hill is nationally known for her work in the area of lactation. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, AWHONN, Sigma Theta Tau, the American Academy of Nursing, and the International Society for Research in Human Milk and Lactation.
Personal
She is a lover of dogs and horses; in fact, she tells people that she should have been a vet. Her favorite time is spent with her grandchildren.
