Research / Discovery
Data collection activities for research project entitled “Parent Interpretation and Use of Genetic Information,” Agatha Gallo, PI. Awarded CETL grant “Using Blended Learning to Teach Cultural Competence” with Dr. Linda Cassata.

Teaching / Learning
Coordinates NUSC 210 Health Assessment and NUSC 355: Concepts and Processes of Children and Family Health. Provides theory and clinical instruction for both courses. She offers undergraduate independent study options in camp nursing as well as other pediatric oriented topics. Recipient of CETL Teaching Recognition Award and elected to CON Academy of Distinguished Teachers.

Service / Practice
Active with the international nursing honorary, Sigma Theta Tau, Alpha Lambda chapter and has served as president, and senior counselor. She is also a member of the Society for Pediatric Nursing. At the College, she has served on the nominating committee, undergraduate admissions and standards, and curriculum.

Personal
Enjoys gardening and reading murder mysteries, especially Ruth Rendall. Active in her community at the high school and in gardening organizations. Her special place is Newport Beach in Door County , which she and her family visit yearly. Loves watching field hockey, water polo and soccer games.
