Research / Discovery
Ms. Korcz's research has focused in the area of maternal child health. She has worked with the DuPage County Health Department to identify the barriers and motivators of prenatal clients to early prenatal care. She was also involved in identifying Family Case Agencies within Illinois that were screening for Postpartum Depression (PPD) as well as developing recommendations for improving the identification and potential treatment of PPD in Illinois.

Teaching / Learning
Ms. Korcz has been a clinical instructor at UIC (Community Health Nursing) since 2006. She has led numerous seminars and presentations in the field of Public Health Nursing, mostly in the area of maternal child health. She also had previous experience as clinical instructor for the Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program at a local community college.

Service / Practice
Ms. Korcz has over 25 years experience in various public health settings. Most recently, Ms. Korcz acted as a consultant, resource, and advocate to local health departments and agencies within the Chicago metropolitan area in clinical/medical maternal child health issues. She also participated in the development of various statewide training programs in Illinois.

Personal
She and her husband have two grown daughters. They both enjoy hiking and skiing. They hope to retire to Colorado in the future.
