Purpose

The purpose of the HDUP Research Training Program is to develop nurse researchers with Pre-Doctoral and advanced research expertise in the science of health disparities in underserved populations. Health disparities are defined as adverse health conditions that have disproportionately high incidence, prevalence, and mortality in underserved populations (Grady, 2000).
