International Scholars: Degree Seeking International Students

Visas

The UIC Office of Admissions and Records processes all requests for visas that enable students to come to the U.S. for study. The applicant must furnish documentation of financial support.

Applicants requiring an F-1 or J-1 Visa must apply as full-time, degree-seeking students.

Applicants admitted to UIC will receive written notification and an official document (I-20 or IAP-66) to be presented when requesting their Visa to enter the U.S. Also, information can be obtained through the College of Nursing admissions office.
