Definition of Auditors (Course Visitors):

The following is the University of Illinois' definition of Auditors (Course visitors):

Undergraduate and graduate students, as well as persons not registered in the University of Illinois at Chicago, are permitted to attend courses other than laboratory, military or physical education classes as auditors. To do so, however, an auditor's permit bearing the approval of the course instructor and the Dean of the college offering the course must be placed on file in the UIC Office of Admissions and Records and must be processed no later than the tenth day of the semester (fifth day of summer session). Auditors need not apply for admission to the University. No credit is awarded for audited courses. Course auditors are carefully reminded about their role/responsibility as an auditor in a nursing course before they begin the class.
