Member Benefits

VISTA member serve full-time for one year, during which they provide indirect services such as program development and evaluation, grant writing, research and curriculum building. In return for a full year of service, members may receive: training, health benefits, student loan forbearance or deferment, a modest living allowance and relocation expenses if moving to a new community. Modest cash stipends or education awards may be awarded to assist members pay for graduate school, or to pay back qualified student loans.
