With over 30 years of healthcare experience, Dr. Storfjell brings depth and insight to her role as Executive Director of Institute for Healthcare Innovation. Before coming to University of Illinois at Chicago , Dr. Storfjell served in roles ranging from CEO and President of a home health company, President of a consulting company and lecturer at University of Michigan School of Nursing. While at University of Illinois at Chicago , Dr. Storfjell has held positions as assistant and associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Administrative and Mental Health Nursing within the College of Nursing . Her current responsibilities at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing includes the role of Associate Dean for Academic Practice, Associate Professor, and Chair of the Nursing Service Plan Board of Directors. Her publications include dozens of articles and book chapters on the topics of health care management, home health care, nursing, cost management, productivity, case management and community health nursing.
Dr. Storfjell holds a B.S. in Nursing from Walla Walla College in Washington , a M.S. in Community Health Nursing from The University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Nursing Administration, Economics and Geriatrics from The University of Michigan. She is a Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
