Associate Dean for Nursing Science Studies Announcement
Dr. Barbara Dancy has been announced as the new Associate Dean for Nursing Science Studies. Dr. Dancy is a Professor in the Department of Health Systems Science. Her research focuses on the development and testing of innovative, culturally sensitive, HIV-risk reduction programs for vulnerable, underserved populations.
American Academy of Nursing Honors UIC Faculty and Alumni
Dr. Judy Storfjell and Dr. Julie Zerwic were inducted into the American Academy of Nursing at the 35th Annual Meeting and Conference held on November 6-8, 2008. Dr. Helen Grace, (Dean 1977-82), was honored as a Living Legend at the event. Sheila Dinotshe Tlou (PhD '90) and Naeema Al-Gasseer (MS '87, PhD '90) were honored with 2008 President's Awards.
