PhD: Degree Requirements

PhD (For Students with a Master's Degree)

The PhD program requires a minimum of 96 semester hours: 32 semester hours earned in the prior master's degree; and 64 semester hours in core courses, advanced courses and independent research earned in the doctoral program (48 semester hours must be taken at UIC).
