Brand new for 1996 is this block of Thirty-second street between Benson
and Racine in the old Glue Works section of Bridgeport. Housing
construction in certain sections of Bridgeport has been done blocks at a
time by developers. While the style of these buildings is contemporary
bungalow and small apartment; the scale is typical of Bridgeport for many
decades -- one- and two-story buildings. And it can also be seen that this
block is not far from an industrial zone, The structure in the background
is a cement plant on the South Fork of the South Branch of the Chicago
river.
