The Southeast Regional Collaborative Access Team (SER-CAT) was formed in 1997 by 22 participating institutions to provide third generation X-ray capabilities to macromolecular crystallographers and structural biologists in the Southeast and Midwest. Its facilities, which are nearly complete, are located at Sector 22 of the Advanced Photon Source of the Argonne National Laboratory and consist of both an ID and a BM beamline.
