ADA Distance Learning 2000 utilizes a combination of
teleconferencing and web-based technologies to deliver cost-effective
continuing education on the ADA. The program is designed to offer
advanced information on the ADA as building blocks to an individual's
existing foundation of basic ADA knowledge. The subject-specific
sessions are one-hour in length with interactive opportunity for question
and answers. Supplemental materials are posted to the web for
participants to review and prepare for each session.
Participating in ADA Distance Learning 2000
- Organizations can support the professional development for an
individual, an entire department or an entire agency for less cost
than sending one staff to a comparable training event.
- Site coordinators can use time following each session to debrief on
the subject, facilitate discussion of their agency's ADA compliance
program and dialogue "where do we go from here?" to
improve the agency's compliance program.
- Individuals can access previous session transcripts on the web as
ADA resources.
Program Format
Each session is delivered via telephone conference call.
Pre-registration is required (Click here for
additional Registration Information). Calling instructions will
be forwarded to site coordinators one week prior to each session. In
addition, each session is real-time captioned in the ADA Forum.
Transcripts of previous sessions are posted to this website.
