Chancellor's Academic Professional Excellence (CAPE) Award

The Chancellor's Academic Professional Excellence Award (CAPE) acknowledges the demonstrated excellence of Academic Professional employees (APs). The CAPE Award honors the contributions of individual staff members and encourages the professional growth and achievement of APs at UIC. Academic Professionals are those employees on academic appointment whose positions are designated by the President and the Chancellor as meeting specialized administrative, professional, or technical needs. APs encompass staff other than the ranks of professor, associate professor, assistant professor, and instructor. Nominations are now being accepted through August 29th.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE

Faculty, academic professional, support staff, and students of UIC may nominate an academic professional member for this award. Nominators need not be direct supervisors of the nominee. Nominations, including the letters of support and all other required credentials, must be submitted no later than noon on August 29.. The CAPE Awards are presented at a reception as part of UIC Employee Recognition Week.
