Serve on a UIC Senate Committee
The Senate Nominating Committee is seeking Academic Professionals willing to serve on the Senate standing committees for the next academic year.
An election will be held by the Senate at its organizing meeting, Thursday, April 21, 2011.
Except when specified in the Bylaws, elected committee members need not be members of the Senate, but they must be members of an electorate.
The committees are charged with giving advice on establishing policy for:
academic programs, admissions standards, academic freedom and tenure, campus support services, athletics programs, and other matters
affecting the campus and the University as a whole.
Terms are for one year.

Academic Professionala are eligible to serve on
- Student Recruitment, Admissions and Retention Committee
- Student Affairs Committee
- Academic Services Committee
- External Relations and Public Service Committee
- Support Services Committee
Note: Membership on these five Senate Standing Committees is not restricted to
elected Academic Professional Senators.
Petitions need to be submitted by Monday, April 4, 2011. If you wish to nominate another Academic Professional to a committee, please insure that they are willing to serve.
