Program Components

The ASCEND Scholars Program consists of three components:

  1. A summer pre-college experience, with math enrichment and a unique introduction to scientific research.
  2. An academic year seminar designed to enhance a student’s participation in UIC’s academic and support programs.
  3. A focused advising program that includes clustered course registration and strategic selection of major courses with other ASCEND Scholars.
