Luncheon and Award Ceremony
The Chancellor's Committee on the Status of
Persons with Disabilities recognized UIC's
Faculty and Staff members who went the
"Extra Mile" in supporting students
with disabilities. Students nominated faculty or
staff who have made a difference and who went
over and above accommodation.

SONG" featured in Roger Ebert's
"Overlooked Film Festival".
Roger Ebert introduced the film
and Heather Rose, the film's co-writer and star.
"DANCE ME TO MY SONG" is an award
winning film from Australia about a young woman
with cerebral palsy, her cruel care-giver and the
man they both have a crush on. For more

- Dance>Detour at UIC
Dance>Detour is Chicago's "mixed
abilities" dance troupe. They have performed
with the Joffrey Ballet and Chicago's Bryant
Ballet. Dance >Detour is a culturally diverse
troupe of seven skilled, multitalented artists
who explore the philosophy that everyone can
dance regardless of their individual and varying
range of physical abilities.
