Subcommittees

The CCSPD is divided into several subcommittees. Members of the CCSPD elect to serve on one or multiple committees for the year.

Program Committee

This committee sponsors and co-sponsor events to promote disability awareness, disability cuture, and to provide disability-related information to UIC students and faculty.

Advisory Committee on Disability Statement of Commitment/Access (ACDC)

This committee works to ensure that the university maintains the chancellor’s commitment to accessibility. It is half advisory committee and half watch-dog group.

Technology Committee

This committee provides technical support to the CCSPD website to ensure that we have an online presence. Also, the committee is concerned with accessible technology and how to make technology most useful for students and faculty.

Outreach Committee

The committee promotes outreach between our committee and other chancellor’s committees. This helps us stay in touch and collaborate.

Survey Committee

In the process of preparing a University-wide survey on the campus climate for persons with disabilities.

Student Advisory

This committee is comprised of students interested in the work of promoting and expanding the work of the CCSPD across campus.
