WELCOME
Relationships between sleep and health are generally appreciated, but poorly understood. The fundamental biological need for sleep remains a mystery. The key biological signals driving sleep and wakefulness remain uncertain. Problems with sleep affect over 50 million Americans, and these problems increase with age. Over 70 sleep disorders are now recognized.
The Center for Narcolepsy, Sleep and Health Research is dedicated to transforming our understanding in order to improve, preserve and promote health through good sleep. Established in 1987, the Center serves as an important source of sleep science and health expertise for colleagues, aspiring sleep researchers, patients and families. Read More.
