In this presentation yon will learn how your behaviors and reactions influence others. In dealing with challenging individuals there is a tendency to react and become

unhelpful. This presentation will help you see both aides of a difficult situation from the client perspective said the helper's viewpoint It will show you how to make the

situation easier m handle while helping the client work though whet triggered their behavior.

Some of the situations we will cover are working with the mentally ill, the aggressive client, and the client who is stuck and not ready to work on their issues. We will look at the model Crisis Intervention of Houston, Inc. uses and how this enables us to keep the client focused on dealing with what is really going on right now.

When presenting this workshop to another group the feedback I got from an individual was `You come in thinking you are going to find the answer on how to change

everyone who has ever been difficult towards you. However, you come out seeing more clearly that you are the one that needs to change in order to be more effective in helping others."

We will also took at situations you may have faced and how to uses these experiences to help yon deal with similar situations that may arise in tire future.
