An important part of any crisis line is the access to quality up to date resources or the ability to roll emergency rescue such as an ambulance, mental health mobile response team and event the police in extreme cases.

This workshop examines the role crisis centers can play in networking these valuable resources and the interplay between them and the 2-1-1 and 9-1-1 agencies that provide those resources. Using the Houston Crisis Center and Harris County 9-1-1 system as the model this workshop will show the attendee how to develop these community partnerships and how to gain the most out of them for the improvement of the community.

We will cover the web based RIES (Resource Information and Evaluation System) how it works and how you can use it for free in your local community crisis center to track your own data on the web and allow the resources to do their own updates.
