Featherfist Drug Addiction Recovery Program Nutrition Education Classes

CPHP partners with Featherfist to provide nutrition education to the residents of Lawndale Christian Health Center, a transitional housing program with supportive services dedicated to providing a safe, stable and nurturing environment. The program implements the transitioning of homeless families - specifically mothers in recovery from substance abuse and their children - from homelessness to effective independent living and self-sufficiency. Nutrition education topics range from the principles of the Food Guide Pyramid to physical activity. The education sessions are provided once a week for an eight week period.
