Mommy & Me Health Club

The Mommy & Me Health Club is a program developed though a partnership with Mile Square Health Center to provide health and nutrition education to pregnant women in an informal facilitated discussion to determine the impact of nutrition education on birth outcomes. The women are asked to attend monthly sessions that are two (2) hours in length. They are provided with information on breastfeeding, nutrition during pregnancy and information relating to the numerous changes taking place at each stage of pregnancy. Information is provided by a RN, a RD, a lactation consultant and several peer educators.
