Moments-Mile Square Health Center
Mile Square is a community based health center providing service to
underinsured & low income populations on the near West side of Chicago.
Two (2) nutrition peer educators conduct weekly waiting room learning
activities on each floor of the health center. Topics are selected based
on the audience receiving the information. People participating in the
learning activities are asked to complete a short survey and then given
an incentive. Upon completion of the survey, questions that were not
answered correctly or any questions that were stimulated by the material
are then discussed one-on-one.
