Participants Needed ! We are looking for certified teachers who are working with 6th, 7th, and/or 8th grade students in Chicago Public Schools to participate in a professional development opportunity. All participants will receive $800 stipend and 64 CPDUs for completing this year long professional development.

Thank you for your interest in the Collaborative Teacher Network. The network is part of a research study where middle school teachers, both general and special teachers from the Chicago area, participate in professional development designed to enhance teachers' content area reading instruction to improve the achievement of all student. Teachers will learn about evidence-based content reading strategies that can be incorporated into math, science and social studies classrooms. Participants will attend professional development sessions at the University of Illinois at Chicago starting in September 2009.
